Yes I’ve used AirBnB – You’re right, it is a great way to get a personal introduction to a place and so much more welcoming than a hotel or a hostel!

Indeed it is, Linda. I love to have a break from busy hostel life, even though I like to stay in hostels. Sometimes you really need a peaceful place and the feeling you are in a real home.

My AirBNB and apartment stay experiences have been more like renting from agencies. I guess it is because I rented entire units instead of staying with someone. Looks like worth a try, for sure. Couchsurfing, on the other hand, offered great interaction.

This is priority for me. I always make sure that the host is staying in the house. I once hired a separate apartment but the host was living upstairs, so the communication was great. We had a glass of wine together too. That’s what is all about it. Belong to a place, anywhere! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
