The Kimberleys are absolutely gorgeous! I’m not sure if I’m up to the 14 day drive across Gibb river road, though. Still, it would be a crazy adventure. #wkendtravelinspiration

I like the rugged terrain and beauty of the Kimberleys you show in your photos.

Kimberley Australia is a remote and very ancient region of the world. Off-the-beaten path and yet not on the list of many travellers. It’s quite a challenge as 4WD (expert level) is required for self-driving. Tours are expensive so not really something for a budget holiday, really worth your time and money though!

I totally agree about Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge. Both are stunning. Being a born and bred West Aussie, the rest of the Kimberley is on my bucket list.

Lovely to meet you here Sally! I was lucky to have explored this region. Now I am thinking of a cruise for the Northern part of the Kimberleys but very expensive and challenging too!

We have just booked a trip to the Kimberleys for 2017. A few of these attractions are on our list. I’m going to investigate the others.

Uhm great to hear that. What type of adventure? Self-guided 4WD or will you join a tour? There are some interesting cruising options too with scenic flights.

Can’t wait to explore this region in Australia! My partner will love all the 4WD driving while I’m screaming on the passenger seat hoping he doesn’t get us stuck or flip the car! Haha! Thanks for sharing this!
