GRAND TOUR OF Sardinia

See the Best Of Sardinia With a Small Group

Sardinia is often known for its beaches and crystal-clear waters, but the island reveals much more when explored at a slower pace. This small-group journey is designed for travellers who want to experience Sardinia beyond the obvious, combining its coastal landscapes with lesser-known places, local traditions, and everyday life. On the journey, we move from the north-west around Alghero down along the western coastline and into the south, before reaching the north-east near Olbia, while exploring coastal landscapes, inland villages, and lesser-visited parts of the island along the way. Nature and food are central to the experience, with time spent along Sardinia’s rugged coastline and in local settings such as agriturismo and wineries, where you can taste regional dishes and products shaped by the island’s strong traditions.

The most frequent asked questions

HOW DO I RESERVE MY PLACE ON THIS JOURNEY?

Because our groups are very small, places are held through commitment, not interest alone.

After availability and fit are confirmed, the first step is an initial €300 place-holding deposit. This secures your place while the group is being formed and counts towards your total tour price. The expected confirmation timeline is shared clearly before you pay the deposit.

If the tour reaches the minimum number required to operate, the journey is confirmed and the next payment steps follow according to the payment schedule shared before booking. If the tour does not reach the minimum number required to operate, you will be notified by the confirmation deadline, and the initial deposit will be refunded.

HOW DO I REQUEST AVAILABILITY & BOOKING DETAILS?

If this journey feels like a good fit and you are seriously considering the May 2027 departure, please complete the Request Availability & Booking Details Form on this page. Michela will review your request personally and share current availability, the detailed itinerary, booking details, and the next steps to move forward. Please note that completing the form does NOT reserve your place on the tour.

WHY DO I NEED TO PLAN SEVERAL MONTHS AHEAD?

These journeys are designed for very small groups, with up to 10 guests, and are arranged with small hotels and trusted local partners who require confirmation around six months before departure. For this reason, the journeys are best suited to travellers who are comfortable planning ahead and moving through the booking process 9–12 months before departure.

IS THIS SUITABLE FOR SOLO TRAVELLERS?

Yes! The majority of our guests travel solo. You’ll be part of a small group of like-minded travellers, and private rooms are always available.

HOW ACTIVE IS THIS JOURNEY?

This is a moderately active journey, with daily walking of up to around 2 hours across the day, depending on the itinerary. You’ll walk through towns and village streets, short natural paths, coastal areas, and uneven surfaces, so good mobility and comfort walking on varied terrain are important. Walking is part of how we experience Sardinia, and the core explorations are included as part of the shared group experience.

ARE FLIGHTS INCLUDED?

No! Flights are not included. Guidance on flights, timing, and travel planning is provided during the preparation phase, including the group Zoom calls before the journey.
