GRAND TOUR OF Sardinia

See the Best Of Sardinia With a Small Group

Sardinia is renowned for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking sunsets. However, it offers much more than that. The island boasts a rich heritage that includes archaeological Nuraghic sites, Roman churches, traditional farming landmarks, old mining areas, and some of the most spectacular coastal scenery, featuring quirky rock formations, fjords, underground caves, and ancient gorges. Additionally, you'll find many local farms, family-owned Agriturismos, wineries, and distilleries that showcase the best local produce, wines, and delicacies. This 9-day tour will take you to the lesser-known places and hidden gems of Sardinia, exploring areas from the North Coast and the Anglona region to the West Coast towns of Oristano, Cabras and Iglesias, as well as the South with Cagliari and the North East around Olbia. What Our Tour Guests Say - Testimonials!

Here below are just a few of the many testimonials we received from our lovely guests. On this page you can watch live video testimonials (2-4 min) from ladies who share their experience on tour with us.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Sicily. Travelling with Rocky Travel was so easy and well-organized. Michela and our local guide Angela always ensured we had enough time to see everything while bonding with other women travelling in the group. The accommodations were well chosen and often located where walking into town during our free time was easy. While in Sicily in May 2023, we had to deal with bad weather, cancel some of our excursions, and replace them with new tours. This was done without any downtime and with options that exceeded my expectations. My experience with Rocky Travel in Sicily was super good, and I highly recommend any tours organized by Rocky Travel.

MARIE-JOSÉe Vinet | Toronto, CANADA

This tour exceeded my expectations - 10 out of 10 from visiting temples, museums, convents, many churches, the beautiful flower festival in Noto, the bakery with the wood burning oven in Sant’Angelo Muxaro to food tastings, the Herb Nursery in Scicli, seeing all the Roman mosaics at Roman Villa del Casale, the Canyon walk. The experience of this tour will be one I will never forget, nor the wonderful women I met! Michela and Loredana took great care of us from start to finish and were extremely helpful in getting a few of us on to our next destination. I believe the tour was good value for money. I never expected to see so much in 10 days!

Catherine Pereira | Hamilton, BERMUDA

The tour takes you on a wonderful journey through Sicily. And the whole experience has been incredible. There was a fair amount of walking, for me it was achievable and I think for most over 50 years old would be achievable. You don't have to do all walks,  there are good options available. The food was out of this world, always  served with wine. We also tasted some of the gorgeous Sicilian wines. A lot of the meals were included, which was great value. This tour is for a small number which is what I love, in a comfortable bus. We had a great driver, a great tour guide, and I would give this tour a ten out of ten. I highly recommend it to anyone, any lady who wants to experience the flavours of Sicily and amazing sights. .

Kathy Marris Tweed Heads, AUSTRALIA

The Best of Sicily Tour was a perfectly planned trip. It hit all the highlights, as well as those out of the way places and local people that you will never find in guidebooks or online. It was with a very comfortable minibus with a friendly group of 10. Our guide, Alessandro, was well informed and entertaining who kept us on schedule along with a superb driver Sergio, both Sicilians. Michela, the trip organizer, also Italian, was extremely helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. It was a fabulous introduction to Sicily, and I highly recommend it, especially if you are not familiar with Sicily. Very reasonably priced and good value for money. For sure I’ll be back.

VIVIEN TROY | New York, USA

My trip to Sicily with Rocky Travel was by far the best trip I’ve been on as a solo traveler! This trip did not disappoint. Michela, the trip organizer did a fantastic job picking the interesting places to go and making sure we were all comfortable and satisfied. Loredana, our tour guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about everywhere we visited. She went over and above to help make our trip memorable. My thanks to them both for taking such good care of our well being. I recommend for anyone who likes a small intimate group of like minded people to seek out Michela at Rocky Travel and plan your trip to Sicily!

LUCY CARDON Virginia Beach, USA

Michela, Angela and Francesco did their best to create and provide a lovely tour of Sicily. Patience and attentiveness were well executed throughout the trip, and no questions were left unanswered. The knowledge demonstrated throughout was much appreciated, especially when we needed to shift gears due to weather concerns. I highly recommend this tour by Rocky Travel. Michela, the organiser, and Angela’s tour guide expertise were exceptional.

ChARMAINE HARKINS | West Hartford, USA

This Sicily small-group tour is an ideal introduction to Sicily's many and varied attractions, ranging from architecture to food to archaeology. Zoom calls beforehand meant I already knew the other participants when it started. The meals were an excellent introduction to Sicilian cuisine. The tour guide was outstanding, and her local knowledge gave us valuable insights into many aspects of Sicilian culture, history and food. Poor weather meant some of the attractions were closed. Our tour leaders, Michela and Angela, organised excellent replacement activities using local contacts and insider knowledge. I definitely recommend this tour to solo female travellers 50+ who want to visit a more unusual destination and make new friends. This was my first tour, and I wondered if I'd like it. I'm now a big fan of small group tours with hand-picked like-minded travellers. I'll be looking out for more!
