In reply to Marilyn Belleghem. Hi Marylin, yes ferry is the best way to explore the Sydney Harbour and see the city from the water perspective. While a single ride can cost between 5-10 dollars if you plan a visit over a weekend, on Sundays public transport (including all ferries) are 3.80 dollar cap! You just need to get a free Opal Card at any newsagents, at the airport or in train stations. Then you top it up with money and that's it. Get The Opan a Public Transport Card when in Sydney!

I’m going to be in Sydney in December and wonder if taking water taxis or ferrys around the harbour is a good plan to see the city from the water. Are the ferrys considered public transit?

Great post Michela, we never heard about The Nurragingy Reserve so thank you for sharing your travel tips with us. Next year we are leaving Australia for a year but we will make sure to come back to your site when we come back! In January 2017, we are taking a year off and we will probably spend 6 months in South America then we will probably go to Europe! Your blog made us want to explore more parts in Australia.
