Some iconic Australian Food

Australian food you should try when in Australia!

Eating the local food is in my opionion a great way of discovering the tradition and the culture of a place as well as getting to know the relation people have developed to food over the centuries.

Australian food more than any other countries shows the influence of multicultural cuisines. From the Anglo-British brought to the country by the earliest settlers of the British Isles in the 18th century to the Mediterranean and Asian influence in 19th and 20th century introduced by the waves of immigrants who arrived in Australia after the II WW from all over the world.

Women Travelling Solo Australia

September 09, 2010 Rocky Blog by Administrator

My solo travel experience in Australia!

I have decided to add to the Australia Rocky Blog a "Guest Blogger section".  On a regular basis I will be introducing to you international travel bloggers who like me are passionate travellers, love to travel Australia independently and want to share with you their thrilling Australian Travel Sories or Travel Tips!

I visited Melbourne, went up to the Red Centre, continued to the Northern Territory and last but not least I did all of the East Coast (Cairns to Sydney) on my own and did not find it dangerous at all, on the contrary, OZ is one of the safest country for women !

I used planes, boats, ships and the famous Greyhound bus and slept in tents, on the beach, in hostels, motels, on the bus, in airports and outdoors…no problem at all! By the way, the transport network is extremely efficient in the land down under and everything runs frequently, so don’t worry about booking all your means of transport from home, since there are many options catering for all budgets there. The same is true for excursions: plenty to choose from !
