Australia Driving Distances

What you should know about the driving distances in Australia

Australia Driving Distances are huge ! It's difficult to figure them
out, when planning your tripdriving-australia looking at the map. Australia driving distances mean long hours of driving and the fatigue is inevitable. So be prepared for this. However driving in Australia has some fascination in it: you have the opportunity to experience wonderful scenic lanscapes, endless horizont on isolated dusty land, an experience you would not be able to do otherwise !

Tips for driving in Australia

If you plan to drive by yourself, consider a few things before making your choice, check all viable australian driving routes to get to your destination, places of interest to stopover on the way, things to do and see, travel services available on the road, the driving difficulties of the area such as road conditions, seasonal
conditions (if driving in tropical areas or in North Western Australia).

Driving in Australia alone can be very challenging, in remote areas of Western Australia and Northern Territory you may find it quite monotonous too. I would recommend to drive with a companion, this allows you first of all to swap the drive and to get some rest.

Always make lots of breaks and allow plenty of time to reach your destination, do not rush ! You finally want to make of the australian driving experience an enjoyable and memorable experience too !
