Let's start making your Travel itinerary arond Australia
1. Make a Time Frame and Estimate of Cost for your travel in AustraliaHow much time do you have? How much do you want to spend? The two most important things at this early stage of planning is to define your time frame, and also make a rough estimate of the cost. A visit to Australia must be planned a good time ahead, at least 3 months in advance. I would recommend starting 6 months ahead. Once you know exactly when you want to travel then make a schedule, set your Time Frame. You can learn more about when-what-how to travel Australia here. 2. Make a rough Itinerary plan for your tripHave you already thought about where you want to go and what you want to see? What is your reason for travelling to Australia? Make a list of all things that you would like to do and see. Out of this list make a draft, a sort of Rough Itinerary Plan, this shall include an outline of the regions, cities, attractions you would like to see during your visit. If you are not sure about it and have not made up your mind yet check out our top australia travel destinations. 3. Drill down and refine your travel itinerary planPlan When you have a first blueprint of your itinerary around Australia select 4-5 regions/things out of your list. You should have at least 10 destinations on this list to review. By narrowing down your list please keep in mind your time frame and what the climate and season at your destination in Australia. For more help check the Australia Weather Map to help you identify your priorities chek list. Feel stuck? Take it easy :) do not worry, if you feel undecided, take your time! You may need some more reading about Australia or need more inspirational advice: you can take a look at the Australia photos gallery , read more about Australia watch a videos about the Top End or consult the Lonely Planet Pubblications. 4. Make a Final Travel ItineraryNow your plan is slowly taking shape and you have a clear picture of how your next trip will be looking like. I used to print out a colourful map of Australia and draw my itinerary on it, starting from my arrival destination, drawing lines to connect all other places where I planned to stop. This helped me chopping and dicing my itineary into single detail I felt it was important for me. If you wish to do the same take notes next to it for your records. When you a have a comprehensive list, put it all on paper and made your final plan out of it. You may also need assistance with your Australia Trip Planning. 5. Make most of the travel arrangements before you leaveWhen you review your final plan for the last check, and you are happy with it, then move on to the next stage of the preparation, i.e. do not make any further changes for little details, leave something for sponteanity, do not try to overdo when planning this will contra productive, for sure you will have to change little bit of this and that when you are there. There is no point now of having a over detailed program in front of you. You do not need this now. What you need now is making the first arrangments for your plan to take off ! What's this?
6. Book flights and AccommodationWhat do you absolutely need to to book before you leave to Australia ? Here below a simple list. I would highly recommend not to make any unnecessary booking from home when you can easily do it at your destination. This will give you a better insight of the local conditions, you will be able to assess personally the places and or the situation thus making it for you easier to take your decision. Leave room for spontaneity and for the unexpected! This will add an immense value to your journey. My Golden Tips for Findng Flights and Accommodation Deals
